Project Overview:
"65 years after a masked serial killer terrorized the small town of Texarkana, the so-called 'moonlight murders' begin again. Is it a copycat or something even more sinister? A lonely high school girl may be the key to catching him."
The project comprised title work throughout the film, including the end credits. Along with titles, there were a few consultations with the art department, including a few pieces for graphics, such as the yearbook page in the montage at the beginning of the film.
The inspiration for the typeface design is from old newspaper clips based on the original film. I explored multiple looks, including old film looks on the letters, but the style gave too much of a nostalgic feel rather than a sharp and murderous look. Ultimately, the director and I had a robust and stark look with the embellishments and texture of the film's themes.
